Dual career counsellor (m/f/d)

1 dual career counsellor (m/f/d)
(permanent contract – full time)

Main tasks:

  • To accompany and advise athletes in the development and implementation of their life and career projects under the guidance of the Head of Dual Career.
  • To ensure coordination between athletes, coaches and federations on all matters related to dual career pathways.
  • To collaborate with the dual career counselors of the Sportlycée to support student-athletes in their transition following secondary education.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives promoting dual career in Luxembourg.
  • To monitor developments in elite and competitive sport with regard to dual career challenges.
  • To work as an integral member of a team of dedicated LIHPS experts in all relevant fields of high performance sports.
  • To foster a climate of trust, collegiality and cooperation among all stakeholders involved.

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in sport management, social sciences, psychology, career guidance or any other field relevant to athlete support.
  • Deep understanding of the lifestyle, constraints and specific needs of high-performance athletes, and the ability to analyse individual needs and propose adapted solutions.
  • Training or experience in socio-professional support for high-performance athletes is considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Luxembourg sporting ecosystem.
  • Fluency in English and French or German is required; Luxembourgish is an advantage.
  • Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary high-performance environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
